% 13.09.2025 Appellant Insurance Company has filed an appeal for reduction of the award dated 29.08.2016 passed by the Learned MACT, awarding a compensation of Rs. 14,52,986/- along with interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of claim petition. On appeal, the Insurance Company deposited entire awarded principal amount along with accrued interest in term of the order dated 03.11.2016 passed by this Hon'ble Court in the name of UCO Bank account Mangal and the direction was issued the released sum of Rs. 1,50,000/- in favour of R-1 vide order dated 25.05.2017 and thereafter 50% of the awarded amount along with accrued interest was also released to R-1 vide order dated 20.07.2017. We have interacted with the learned counsel for the appellant/Respondent. Parties willing to settle on the awarded amount. Ld. Counsel for the Insurance Company has instructions to withdraw the appeal. We permit the appellant to withdraw the appeal. In view of the above, Registrar General is directed to release the balance amount lying deposited along with accrued interest in favour of Respondent No. 1, subject to compliance of all the requisite formalities.
Needless to say that the appellant shall be entitled to refund of the statutory amount along with interest, if any. In terms of the aforesaid, the present appeal along with pending application (s) stand disposed of with directions with in terms of settlement.
