CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 04.02.2019 Learned counsel for respondent no. 2 submits that matter has indeed been settled between the petitioner and respondent no. 2, inasmuch as settled amount has already been received by respondent no. 2. He says that he has instructions from respondent no. 2 to convey to the Court that respondent no. 2 has no objection in case FIR No. 932/2014 under Section 135 of the Indian Electricity Act (Amend.), 2003 and Section 379 IPC registered at Police Station Jamia Nagar and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed against the petitioner.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
