CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR
O R D E R
% 01.07.2015 The petitioner challenges the order dated 8.4.2015 passed by the competent authority whereby his prayer for release on parole has been rejected.
A perusal of the order reflects that such a prayer has been rejected because of the guidelines regarding grant of parole/furlough. One of the guidelines for such a concession is that the petitioner should not be a convict for multiple murders.
The order further reveals about adverse police report against the petitioner.
Ms.Kamna Vohra, learned additional standing counsel appears and files a status report.
The status report is taken on record.
She states that the ground taken by the petitioner for his release on parole, namely, providing medical attention to his son is absolutely wrong. The status report discloses that his son has recovered and there is no requirement of any medical attention for his son. From the conspectus of the abovenoted facts, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on parole.
Petition is dismissed.
