O R D E R

% 01.07.2015 The petitioner challenges the order dated 23.4.2015 passed by the competent authority whereby his prayer for grant of parole has been rejected.

The reasons recorded for such rejection are adverse police report against him and availability of free legal aid to the prisoners. Mr.Mehra, learned Standing Counsel (Criminal) submits very fairly that from the Nominal Roll it would appear that during the period of nine years in custody, the petitioner was never granted the concession of parole. All that Mr.Mehra insists is that stringent conditions be imposed so as to ensure his surrenders on time before the jail authorities. Let the petitioner be enlarged on parole for a period of a month from the date of his release subject to his furnishing the bail bond in the sum of

Rs.10,000/- with two sureties of like amount to the satisfaction of the concerned Trial Court. The grant of parole would be subject to the following conditions:- a) The petitioner would not try to intimidate or meet the victim and their family members;

b) The petitioner would meets the SHO of the concerned police station on every Friday of the week so that his presence in the town is marked;

c) He would furnish his mobile telephone number to the SHO on which he could be contacted;

d) The petitioner would maintain above board conduct and will not pose any problem in the vicinity where he would reside for the period; e) The petitioner would not go out of the territorial bounds of NCT; f) The petitioner would surrender on or before the date when the period of parole expires.
