W.P.(CRL) 1186/2015 Present FIR No. 401/2003 under Sections 420/468/471 IPC was registered at Police Station Jahangir Puri against the petitioner on the complaint of respondent no. 2, who is a Notary Public. Respondent no. 2 has alleged in the FIR that petitioner had attested an affidavit by impersonating himself as respondent no. 2, inasmuch as had used his seal. FIR was registered 12 years ago and trial is going on for the last 10

years. Petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably. In view of the settlement arrived at between him and the petitioner, respondent no. 2 who is present in court, submits that he is not willing to pursue the FIR any further and same may be quashed. Since parties have settled their disputes amicably, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 401/2003 under Sections 420/468/471 IPC registered at Police Station Jahangir Puri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, subject to, however, costs of `25,000/- to be deposited by the petitioner with Delhi High Court Staff Welfare Fund within four weeks. Receipt be filed in the Registry and copy thereof be provided by the petitioner to the Investigating Officer. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti. A.K. PATHAK, J.
