O R D E R

% 08.12.2017 By this petition the petitioner Jasveer Singh seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No.245/2016 under Sections 498A/377/354/354-C/328/506/34 IPC registered at PS Badarpur. During the pendency of the present petition, parties have entered into a settlement before the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre on 17th November, 2017. Petitioner and the complainant have decided to seek divorce by mutual consent. As per the settlement, the petitioner has to return the articles of Stridhan mentioned as Annexure-A of the settlement agreement dated 17th November, 2017. Petitioner who is present in Court and is identified by learned counsel affirms that he has entered into a settlement on 17th November, 2017 and BAIL APPLN. 2161/2016

undertakes to abide by the same. Petitioner further states that the articles mentioned at Annexure-A of the settlement agreement will be returned to the complainant within two days before the Investigating Officer at the Police Station. Petitioner has also handed over a demand draft for a sum of ₹1,00,000/- to the complainant in Court today. Since the parties have entered into a settlement, this Court deems it fit to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. It is therefore directed that in the event of arrest the petitioner be released on bail on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of `10,000/- with one surety of the like amount subject to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer/ SHO concerned, further subject to the condition that he will join the investigation as and when directed.

Petition is disposed of. Order dasti.
