Application is disposed of.

W.P.(CRL) 3023/2016 Present FIR is outcome of the matrimonial disputes between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2, which have been resolved by them amicably. Petitioner no.2 to 15 are the relatives of petitioner no.1. It is submitted that petitioner no.1 has pronounced Talaak.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court and admits that she has settled the matter with petitioner no.1 vide settlement deed dated 19th August, 2016 (annexure B).

She further admits that she has

received the entire settled amount from petitioner no.1. She submits that she is not interested to pursue the FIR any further. Keeping in mind the fact that the parties have settled their disputes amicably, inasmuch as, petitioner no.1 has pronounced talaak and the entire settled amount has been received, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending, accordingly, the FIR No.228/2016 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Welcome is quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
