Issue notice. Mr. Kumar accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. 3.
Learned counsel says that he does not wish to file a reply as he does not oppose the prayer made by counsel for the petitioner for extension of time for conclusion of the arbitration proceedings. 4.
The record shows that a Sole Arbitrator was appointed on 6.2.2014 and that the said Arbitrator, resigned on 29.2.2016. 5.
Thereupon, by an order passed by this Court on 28.2.2017, in O.M.P.(T) No.7/16, a former Judge of this Court was appointed as the Sole Arbitrator.

The new Arbitrator re-commenced the proceedings on 10.4.2017, as the order passed by this Court was communicated to the learned Arbitrator only on 9.3.2017.

Since the statutory period of twelve (12) months came to an end on 9.3.2018, parties consented to extension of time by six (6) months. 7.1.
The order to this effect was passed by the learned Arbitrator, though, on 21.9.2017.

I am informed by the parties that the matter is at the stage of evidence and therefore, the instant petition has been moved for extension of time. 9.
In these circumstances, as prayed, the time for rendering and publishing the award is extended till 8.3.2019 commencing from 9.9.2018. 10.
