% 14.07.2017 Issue notice. Mr.Yeeshu Jain, Standing Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.
The petitioner's grievance is limited to the inaction of the respondent/Appropriate Government in not forwarding the Reference Petition under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (hereafter 'the LA Act'). The land was acquired through an Award announced on 25.2.2011. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the co-owners moved a joint Reference Petition under Section 18 of the LA Act on 01.04.2011 and since then nothing has been heard from Appropriate Government.
Having regard to the limited relief sought, a direction is issued to the Appropriate Government to forward the Reference Petition under Section 18 of LA Act to the competent court within six weeks from today.
The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. S. RAVINDRA BHAT, J.
S.P.GARG, J.
