This is a petition under Section 482 Cr. P.C. for quashing of FIR No. 171/2014 under Section 406/498A/34 IPC registered at PS Inder Puri. It is stated that the matter has been settled with the respondent no. 2/complainant amicably before Mediation Centre at Patiala House Courts.

Respondent No.2 is present before the Court along with her counsel and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from the complainant whether the matter has been settled with the petitioners amicably without fear and pressure. She has stated
that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure. 3.
The petition is supported by the affidavits of the parties. Order dated 15.05.2015 of Delhi Mediation Centre, Patiala House Courts recording settlement between the parties is on record. Pursuant to the settlement, she has got the settled amount. Divorce by mutual consent has been granted.

Since the matter has been settled between the parties amicably without any fear and pressure, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings under Section 406/498A/34 IPC. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to settle in life after divorce, FIR No. 171/2014 under Section 406/498A/34 IPC registered at PS Inder Puri and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
