O R D E R

% 20.10.2016 Marital discord between the respondent no. 2 and petitioner no. 1 had led to registration of the present FIR No. 52/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC at Police Station Crime against Women Cell Nanak Pura. Petitioner nos. 2 and 3 are relatives of petitioner no. 1. Petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably. Their marriage has already been dissolved by mutual consent by way of a decree of divorce on 18th July, 2016 before the Family Courts, Dwarka, New Delhi. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and admits having received the entire settled

amount. She submits that FIR may be quashed.

Keeping in mind that petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have decided to part ways and have, in fact, obtained a decree of divorce by mutual consent, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping them entangled in the criminal proceedings.

Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 52/2015 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Crime against Women Cell Nanak Pura and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
