O R D E R

% 13.07.2017 1.

The petitioners have filed the present petitions, inter alia, praying that respondent nos.1 to 4 be directed to safe keep the records. The petitioners apprehend that the official records maintained by the respondents with regard to the registration of certain documents may be destroyed. It is claimed that certain officials from the office of respondent nos.1 to 4 have threatened the petitioners that they would destroy these official records, which would prejudice the petitioner. A perusal of the petitions indicates that the petitioners claim to have certain documents, which are registered with the Sub-Registrar. They also have copies of the extracts of the revenue records in respect of certain properties.

2.

In the given circumstances, respondent no.1 is directed to look into the apprehension expressed by the petitioners in these matters and also verify whether the official records mentioned in the petitions have been preserved.

3.

Needless to mention that if respondent no.1 finds that any of the official records are missing, it shall take steps to institute a proper enquiry in this regard, which would be followed by such further action as warranted. 4.

The petitions and the pending applications are disposed of with the aforesaid observations.
