CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 26.10.2016 Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Counselling Cell, Family Court, North East District, Vishwas Nagar, Delhi on 23rd November, 2015. Petitioner nos.2 to 5 are the relatives of petitioner no.1. Marriage of petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by the decree of divorce by mutual consent on 26th September, 2016 by Family Court, North East District, Vishwas Nagar, Delhi. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and admits having received the entire settled amount. She submits that she has no objection in case FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind the facts that the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2

have settled their disputes amicably, inasmuch as the entire settled amount has been received and marriage between them has already been dissolved by decree of divorce, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No.534/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station GTB Enclave is quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
