W.P.(CRL) 3167/2018 The petitioner is aggrieved by inaction by the police on various complaints filed by her and her husband of her having been sexually assaulted by respondent nos. 2 to 7 and also having beaten by them repeatedly. She also feels extremely apprehensive about her life, limb and liberty as well as that of her family members by the said respondents. Accordingly, she seeks protection and appropriate action by the police regarding her various complainants.
Mr. Rajesh Mahajan, the learned counsel for the State submits that the
petitioner and aforesaid respondents have various cases pending against them, including cases relating to sale of illicit liquor. Be that as it may, the Court would note that in view of the serious allegations made by the petitioner, this matter shall be treated as the petitioner's representation to the police. It shall be duly considered by the DCP of the area concerned. The petitioner shall appear before the DCP concerned on 16.10.2018 at 11.00 am and an appropriate action, as may be taken, shall be intimated to her.
