CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE MANMOHAN
O R D E R
% 05.10.2018 Present contempt petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order dated 9th December, 2014 passed by a Coordinate Bench of this Court in W.P.(C) 8682/2014 whereby respondent was directed to communicate to the petitioner the status of her application dated 17th April, 1989 for allotment of an alternative plot in lieu of her acquired land within four weeks.
Vide order dated 1st January, 2018, the Deputy Secretary, Land & Building Department, had intimated to the petitioner that her request for allotment of alternative plot has been rejected as the petitioner did not produce the mutation certificate.
Keeping in view the aforesaid development, this Court is of the view that present contempt petition has become infructuous. However, petitioner is given liberty to challenge the order/letter dated 1st January, 2018 in accordance with law.
With the aforesaid observations, present contempt petition and pending applications stand disposed of.
