% 24.10.2016 Mr. J.P. Sengh, the learned Senior Advocate, who appears on receipt of advance copy of the writ petition, submits that there are certain averments in the writ petition which may not be necessary. The learned counsel for the petitioner readily submits that paragraph 3.10 of the writ petition may be treated as deleted and be expunged from the record. It is so ordered. After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner states upon instructions that he would like to withdraw the petition and pursue his remedies regarding availability of the defence assistance before the Inquiry Officer. He submits that the petitioner has been promptly participating in the inquiry proceedings and shall continue to do so. The writ petition alongwith pending applications stands dismissed as withdrawn.

The Court has not expressed any views on the merits of the case.
