% 16.11.2016 It is submitted that petitioner's brother-in-law and respondent no. 2 are neighbours. Petitioner had gone to attend a party at the house of his brother-in-law when incident took place. Present FIR No. 246/2013 under Section 354(D) IPC was registered at Police Station Neb Sarai against the petitioner on the complaint of respondent no. 2. It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably and respondent no. 2 is not willing to pursue the FIR any further. Respondent no. 2, who is present in Court, admits having compromised the matter with petitioner. She submits that she has settled the matter with petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, coercion and pressure.

Keeping in mind the fact that petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably and respondent no. 2 is not willing to pursue the FIR any further, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep them entangled in the criminal proceedings.

Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 246/2013 under Section 354(D) IPC registered at Police Station Neb Sarai and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
