$~16 * IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI + W.P.(C) 5298/2017 with CM Nos.22447/2017 & 6159/2018 TEJRAJ SINGH KHARODIA ..... Petitioner Through:

Mr.Siddharth Jain, Advocate versus UNION OF INDIA ..... Respondent Through:

Mr.Ajay Digpaul, CGSC with Ms.Madhuri Dhingra, Advocate

CORAM:

O R D E R

% 03.04.2018 1.

On the last date of hearing i.e. 22.03.2018, learned counsel for the petitioner had sought time to obtain instructions, in view of the stand taken by the respondents that all IPS officers like the petitioner herein whether posted in the Centre or the State, are required to file property return for the year 2017, as per the instructions issued on 13.12.2016 and that no extension of time has been granted by the Cadre Controlling Authority. 2.

Today, learned counsel for the petitioner fairly concedes that the Cadre Controlling Authority in the case of the petitioner remains Central Government, irrespective of the fact that he is presently posted with the State of Rajasthan. It is also an admitted position that the petitioner had filed a belated immovable property return for the year 2017 which was the reason for denying him vigilance clearance.

W.P.(C) 5298/2017

3.

This being the position, the prayer made in the present petition for quashing the Select List dated 02.02.2016, for UNFICYP and the Select List dated 26.05.2017 for UN Mission for deployment of the police officers cannot be granted.

4.

The petition is accordingly dismissed, along with the pending applications.
