CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

ORDER

% 25.10.2016 Petitioners have prayed for quashing of the following cross FIRs. (a) FIR No.533/2016 under Sections 354/354(B) IPC registered at police station Jait Pur on the complaint of Ms. Neelu Ranjan. By:AMULYA

FAR (b)FIR No.532/2016 under Sections 354(B) IPC registered at police station Jait Pur on the complaint of Ms. Renu Devi. Ajay N. P. Singh is husband of Ms. Renu Devi and Prabhat Kumar is brother of Ms. Neelu Ranjan. Parties have compromised the matter vide two separate settlement deeds/memorandum of understanding, both dated 201h October, 2016. Ms. Renu Devi and Ms. Neelu Ranjan are present in Court and have stated that they have settled the matter of their free will without any undue force, coercion and pressure and are not willing to pursue their respective FIRs any further.

Keeping in mind the fact that cross FIRs have been registered on the complaint of neighbours in respect of a quarrel, which took place on some trivial matter and now they have settled the matter and do not wish to pursue the FIRs any further, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, both the above noted FIRs, which are at the initial stage, are quashed.

Petitions are disposed of in the above terms. A.K. '4IkTHAK, J.
