1. As noted in the order dated 26th February, 2019 the order under challenge has itself been withdrawn, rendering the present petition infructuous.

2. This petition, which stood disposed of by the above order, was kept pending only to enable the Respondents to inform the Court of the amendments to Sections 89 and 92 of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957 (DMC Act).

3. Mr. Satyakam, learned Standing counsel appearing for Government of NCT of Delhi informs the Court that the steps in that direction are already being taken and that the amendments are expected to be carried out by the end of March, 2020.

4. Placing the above statement on record, this Court once again disposes of this petition as no further directions are called for. S. MURALIDHAR, J.
