% 12.01.2018 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that FIR has been lodged after four years of the marriage.

Petitioner as well as complainant were divorcees and it is their second marriage. It was a dowry less marriage. No dowry was ever demanded by the petitioner. General allegations have been levelled in the FIR.

Learned APP has opposed the grant of anticipatory bail to petitioner. It is submitted that, after the marriage, complainant was not treated properly. Complainant has stated in the FIR that petitioner demanded `5 to 6 lacs and he also used to beat her. On 22nd November, 2016 petitioner gave beatings to complainant and tried to strangulate her. Subsequently, matter was, settled in the police station.

Petitioner would come late in the house under the

influence of liquor and quarrel with the complainant. Keeping in mind totality of facts and circumstances of this case, it is ordered that in case of arrest petitioner be released on bail, subject to his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of `20,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Investigating Officer/Arresting Officer/SHO of the concerned police station.

Petitioner shall, however, cooperate in the investigation and appear before the Investigating Officer as and when called upon.
