% 14.09.2018 The present petition has been rendered infructuous, in view of the circumstance that, the petitioner seeks a direction to the official respondents to permit her to attend the counseling for admission to the MBBS course under the management quota, in the general category, at the Dr. D.Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, Pune.

It is an admitted position that, in terms of the directions issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in "Ashish Ranjan & Ors.vs. Union of India & Ors." reported as (2016) 11 SCC 225, the Medical

Council of India has issued a time schedule, whereunder, the last date for admission to the subject course has been stipulated as 30.08.2018. It is observed that, in a catena of decisions of this Court, it is held that, the schedule for admission to MBBS courses, particularly, in relation to the last date by which students may be admitted, is sacrosanct.

In view of the foregoing legal position, after some arguments, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw this petition with liberty to institute an appropriate proceeding, if any, before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, in accordance with law.

At his request, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn whilst granting him liberty.
