1. It is pointed out by Ms. Manmeet Arora, learned counsel for the Petitioner that in respect of another contract between the parties, an order dated 13th November, 2016 has been passed in Arbitration Petition 676 of 2016, appointing an Arbitrator.

2. Learned counsel for the Respondent has no objection to the Court appointing an Arbitrator on the same terms.

3. Accordingly, the Court appoints Justice Manmohan Sarin (Retd.) former Chief Justice of Jammu & Kashmi High Court (Mobile No. 9818000210) as a Sole Arbitrator to adjudicate the disputes between the parties. This is subject to the Arbitrator making the necessary disclosure under Section 12 (1) of the Act and not being ineligible in terms of Section 12 (5) of the Act.

4. It is seen that in terms of the arbitration clause, the Arbitrator is required to make an award within a period of three months from entering upon reference. The learned counsel for the parties state that the said time be enlarged to 12 months. It is accordingly, so directed.

5. The petition is disposed of. A copy of this order be delivered to the learned Arbitrator forthwith.

6. Order be given dasti.
