% 28.11.2016 Petitioner is brother-in-law and the complainant is wife of the petitioner's brother.

Due to misunderstanding, an FIR No.476/2011 dated 24.09.2011 under Sections 323/354 IPC was registered at PS Jagatpuri. After registration of the FIR, near relatives and friends of the parties intervened and the matter has been settled and nothing is left to be adjudicated upon.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that both the petitioner as well as the complainant are residing in the same house and it has become necessary to quash the FIR No.476/2011.

Complainant, who is present in person and has been identified by the Investigating Officer, submits that the matter has been settled and she has no objection if the aforementioned FIR is quashed. Since both the parties are family members and are residing under one roof and the matter has been mutually and amicably settled between the parties and nothing is left for adjudication, to meet the ends of justice, I quash the FIR No.476/2011 dated 24.09.2011 under Sections 323/354 IPC registered at PS Jagatpuri and subsequent proceedings arising therefrom.
