CONT.CAS(C) 1182/2016 The petitioner alleges wilful disobedience of the order dated 23.05.2016. The order reads as under:- "Having regard to "The Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014, the respondents are directed to ensure that those amongst the petitioners (whose names have been listed in pages 75 and 79) who were granted vending rights and continue to function and have some proof to establish it, shall not be disturbed. This is subject to the condition in a scheme vis-a-vis the
minimum right of passage i.e. 6 ft to allow passersby to move to and fro, on the pavement/footpath.
List on 26.07.2016.
Learned counsel for the Government of NCT of Delhi submits that 68 Town Vending Committees are in process of being constituted and notified.
Order be given dasti."
We are informed that LPA in which this order had been passed has been finally disposed of by an order dated 16.02.2017. Since the LPA has been disposed of, the contempt petition would not survive. Counsel for the petitioner submits that in case there is disobedience of the order dated 16.02.2017, he will take recourse to such remedies as available in law.
