W.P.(CRL) 1902/2017 This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India filed by the petitioner seeking a writ of habeas corpus for production of his wife Swati, who is being illegally detained by respondent no.4, her father. On an advance copy having been served on the State, Swati has been produced in Court. We have interacted with Swati in the Chamber in the presence of Ms. Radhika Kolluru, counsel for the State, who was present in Court. We have also interacted with the petitioner and parents of Swati. Swati submits that she wishes to reside with her parents. In view of the statement so made, the petition

is dismissed as not pressed. Counsel for the petitioner submits that he would seek such remedies as available in accordance with law. The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
