% 02.11.2016 The petitioner is working as an Ad hoc Professor with Department of Mathematics in Miranda House College in the University of Delhi since 20.07.2016. The post for Assistant Professor in the said Department is sought to be filled through regular appointment. The said advertisement was issued on 24.01.2015.

It is the petitioner's case that he fulfils all eligibility criteria for regular appointment to the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics. The said post is a reserved category post for which interviews are scheduled to be held tomorrow.

The petitioner has not applied for the said post. Nevertheless, he requests that he be considered for the interviews which are scheduled to be held on 03.11.2016.

Insofar as the petitioner has not applied for the post, there is no compulsion upon the respondent to consider the petitioner for the said post. It is not for the Court to extend the time for filing the application. The petition is without merit and is accordingly dismissed. NAJMI WAZIRI, J NOVEMBER 02, 2016/acm
