O R D E R

% 05.07.2017 Marital discord between the husband (petitioner no.1) and wife (respondent no.2) had led to registration of present FIR against the petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 5 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC at police station Mehrauli. Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Counselling Cell, Family Court, Saket Court Complex, New Delhi on 12th January, 2016. Marriage between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent on 3rd April, 2017. Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel. She has been identified by the Investigating Officer. `3 lacs has already been paid to the respondent no.2 and remaining `2 lacs has been

paid by the petitioner no.1 today in Court by way of two demand drafts. Respondent no.2 submits that with this payment entire settled amount stands paid. She has no objection in case the FIR is quashed. Keeping in mind that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have resolved their matter and obtained divorce by mutual consent and respondent no.2 has no objection in quashing of the FIR, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 808/2015 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Mehrauli, which is at the investigation stage, is quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
