% 03.11.2016 Issue show cause notice to respondent. Learned additional standing counsel accepts notice.

On the ground of filing SLP, parole was granted to petitioner on 26th September, 2016. Parole period is expiring on 5th November, 2016. Now, petitioner seeks extension of parole on the ground that his parents are ailing and petitioner has to provide them medical assistance. Learned Standing Counsel points out that petitioner has not filed special leave petition even though he was granted parole on this ground. It is further submitted that petitioner's mother had undergone coronary angiography & balloon coronary angioplasty/PTCA and STENT implantation on 9th June, 2016 in

Action Balaji Hospital even in the absence of petitioner. When parole period is expiring, petitioner has taken his parents to RML hospital and as per the prescription, they appear to be suffering from old age ailments, inasmuch as, no surgery is contemplated.

In the above facts, I am of the view that petitioner has failed to make out any ground for extension of parole.

Petition is dismissed.
