% 04.11.2016 The petitioners have filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.191/2010 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Sections 498A/ 406/ 34 IPC against the petitioners at Police Station - Civil Lines.

Petitioner No.1 is the husband and the petitioner No.2 is the father-inlaw of complainant/ respondent No.2. The respondent No.2/ complainant is present in Court. She has produced her Aadhaar Card as proof of her identity, which has been shown to the Court and returned. A copy of the same has been retained on record. She states that she and petitioner No.1

are living separately for the last four years happily and, therefore, she does not wish to pursue her complaint. Though there are other accused in the matter, who have not been made party in the present petition, the complaint states that she joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR not only against the petitioners but also against the other accused as well. Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings emanating therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
