% 29.11.2016 It is stated by the counsel for the respondent that refund would be processed as expeditiously as possible.

Respondents are directed to ensure that the refund orders together with interest is passed within ten days and the amounts are also remitted within the same period. A direction is also issued that the interest shall be paid from the date it became due and not from the date of furnishing Form-9 and the calculation of interest shall be indicated.

In case there is any discrepancy, the petitioner is at liberty to apply to the VATO who shall decide the application within a month of its presentation. Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
