O R D E R

% 09.12.2016 Property disputes between the respondent no. 2 and petitioner had led to registration of present FIR No. 1591/2016 under Section 420 IPC against the petitioner at police station Mehrauli, on the complaint of respondent no.2.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Vinod Kumar, P.S. Mehrauli. He submits that he has settled the matter with the petitioner of his own free will and without any undue pressure, force or coercion vide Settlement Deed dated 15th October, 2016 (Annexure P-2). He further submits that he has already received `3 lacs in terms of the settlement. He is not willing to pursue the FIR any further.

Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the parties and respondent no.2 is not willing to pursue the FIR, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 1591/2016 under Section 420 IPC registered at police station Mehrauli and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. A.K. PATHAK, J.
