CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE P.S.TEJI
O R D E R
% 24.11.2016 The present application has been filed for the grant of regular bail in FIR No.192/2013, under Sections 302/364/201/120B/34 IPC and under Sections 25/27 of the Arms Act, Police Station Vivek Vihar.
The grouse of the petitioner is that the trial is pending since 2013 and it is not being proceeded with. Counsel for the petitioner has submitted that there are 38 prosecution witnesses and out of which, 27 witnesses have been examined and further trial is not being proceeded with which is causing unnecessary detention of the accused in the present case. Counsel for the petitioner further submitted that the purpose of the petition would satisfy if the trial is expedited. In the facts and circumstances, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn with the observation that the trial court shall expedite
the trial and make endeavour to complete the trial preferably within six months.
The petition is accordingly disposed of.
