Present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.222/2011 registered under Sections 66A I.T.Act at PS EOW, Mandir Marg, Crime Branch. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably with the complainant / respondent No.2. 2.

Complainant / respondent No.2 is present in person along with her mother-in-law and father-in-law and has been identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from the complainant if she has settled the dispute with the petitioners amicably without any fear or pressure. She has informed that all the disputes between the parties have been resolved amicably with her free consent and she has come directly from Dubai to record settlement. She has no objection to the quashing of the FIR in question.

The petition is supported by affidavits of the parties. The parties are related to each other. It is informed that the charge-sheet has been filed but no statement of any witness has been recorded before the Trial Court so far. Since the dispute between the parties has been settled, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to put an end to the litigation, FIR No.222/2011 registered under Sections 66A I.T.Act at PS EOW, Mandir Marg, Crime Branch and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the efforts put by the Investigating Agency to solve the case, the petitioners are directed to deposit ` 1 lac as costs in the Prime Minister Relief Fund within two weeks. Registry shall ensure its compliance.

The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
