% 30.11.2016 The amended memo of parties filed by the parties is taken on record. The petitioners have filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.304/2014 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Sections 498A/ 406/ 34 IPC against the petitioners at Police Station - Jahangir Puri. The complainant is present in Court. She is identified by SI Jasmer Singh, PS Jahangir Puri.
The parties have arrived at a settlement on 02.02.2016, which has been placed on record. Under the settlement, out of the total settlement amount of Rs.1,10,000/-, Rs. 70,000/- has already been paid and balance Rs. 40,000/- has been paid today by way of cheque today in court,
which the petitioner undertakes that the same shall be encashed upon presentation. A ring which was to be returned has been returned by the petitioner to the father of respondent No.2. The complainant states that she has not been subjected to any pressure or coercion and that she has entered into the settlement out of her own free will. The complainant further states that she joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR in question. Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings emanating therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
