09.07.2015 Status report has been filed by the State. The present petition has been preferred by the petitioner seeking direction for production of his wife Rekha Singh. As per the petitioner, she has been missing from his house since 8^*^ March, 2015. In the status report filed by the State, it is stated that on instructions of the petitioner, a missing report was lodged by the police vide DD No.ISA regarding missing of his wife Rekha aged 25 years. It is further stated that necessary steps have been initiated by the police for search of Ms .Rekha. It is further stated that a police officer was sent to Gadwa, Jharkhand wherein By:AMULYA
Ms.Rekha was stated to have been residing. It is further stated that the statement of Ms.Rekha was recorded by the police officer. Along with the status report, the State has also annexed a hand-written statement of Ms.Rekha. In her statement, Ms.Rekha has levelled serious allegations against the petitioner. She has also stated that she has been residing at her parental house out of her own wish and desire and she does not want to live with the petitioner. In the light of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner on instructions of the petitioner seeks to withdraw the petition with liberty to seek appropriate remedy.
