CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE NAJMI WAZIRI
O R D E R
% 17.09.2018 The petitioner is aggrieved by what she perceives as inadequate progress into the complaint filed by her regarding molestation and other serious offence against her by the person mentioned in the complaint. Mr. Dalal, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the case has been registered for very minor offence under the IPC. Furthermore, he contends, that no worthwhile investigation has been done in the matter, inasmuch as the culprit/accused are roaming about in the city and causing grave threat to the petitioner's safety and security as well as to her family members and to the doctors, who had performed the surgery. He seeks that in the circumstances, appropriate directions be issued to the police to accord them due protection.
The learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State submits, upon
instructions, that the matter shall be looked into afresh and appropriate sections will be added, if a case is so made out. It is expected that the matter will be looked into afresh, under the supervision of the DCP, Crime Branch, Chanakyapuri. The petitioner will meet the DCP concerned on 25.09.2018.
Should the petitioner have any grievance thereafter, it will be open to her to seek legal remedies, as may be available to her. The petition stands disposed-off.
