% 26.07.2017 The petitioner appears in person and expresses his desire to withdraw this revision petition in view of the settlement arrived at between him and his wife, the respondent.
The petitioner has agreed to pay to the respondent a total amount of Rs.7.5 lakhs towards all the claims of jewellery, dowry and permanent alimony, etc. Respondent has accepted the aforesaid amount towards all her claims.
The schedule of payment of the aforesaid amount has also been delineated in the agreement.
The agreement was arrived at in the counselling cell of Dwarka Courts. Some part of the settled amount has to be given to respondent at the time of recording of first and second motion. Some amount of money was to be given to respondent at the time of conclusion of the settlement agreement. The petitioner and the respondent, both, are present in Court and submit that they shall abide by the terms of the settlement. The respondent does not have any objection in case the
money which has been deposited by the petitioner before the Registrar General of Delhi High Court under the orders of this Court if the same is released in favour of the petitioner.
The petitioner wants to have such amount released for the purposes of using it for paying the dues to the respondent.
The petitioner does not press the present revision petition because of the settlement referred to above.
However, the petitioner has asked for a direction that the money which was deposited by him under the orders of this Court before the Registrar General be released in his favour.
The Registrar General of this Court, on an application made by the petitioner within a period of two weeks from today, would release the amount which was deposited by him under the orders of this Court in his favour after fully ascertaining his identity and obtaining an endorsement of his having received the amount.
