CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 28.03.2017 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably vide Settlement deed dated 14th February, 2017 executed between petitioners and respondent no.2. Respondent no.2 (complainant) is present in Court and has been identified by SI Gulshan Yadav PS EOW. Respondent no.2 submits that he has settled the matter with the petitioners of his own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. He further submits that he has already received the entire settled amount and that he is not willing to pursue the FIR any further in view of the settlement. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no.2, I am of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served to

keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No.68/2016 under Sections 120B/409 IPC registered at police station EOW, which is at the investigation stage, is quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
