% 16.12.2016 The petitioner seeks a mandamus to the respondent - Delhi Police to file its reply to the letter dated 06.10.2015, issued by the Department of Home, Government of NCT of Delhi to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Head Quarter) alongwith the relevant documents.

Sub Inspector Md. Faizan Ghani, Police Station Ghazipur appears and has produced the status report. The status report is taken on record.

He submits that the file, in respect of which query has been made, has been deposited with the Court of learned Metropolitan Magistrate.

A certified copy of the relevant documents has been applied for. However, the Copy Branch of the District Court has been repeatedly giving dates for supply of certified copy and the next date is 19.12.2016.

He submits that once the relevant documents are WP(C) 10611/2016

received, an appropriate reply to the said letter dated 06.10.2015 shall be sent within a period of four weeks.

The statement is taken on record.

The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of directing the respondent - Delhi Police to furnish a reply to the letter dated 06.10.2015 within four weeks of the receipt of the certified copy of the relevant record from the Court of learned Metropolitan Magistrate, Karkardooma Delhi. It is expected that the copy branch of the concerned Court shall process the application of the Delhi Police, for supply of certified copy, and issue the certified copy expeditiously.
