% 15.02.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi on 12th March, 2014 vide Annexure P-2. Petitioner no. 2 is relative of petitioner no. 1. Petitioner no. 1 has already pronounced Talaaq. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Inderveer Singh, P.S. Karawal Nagar. Respondent no. 2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, coercion and pressure. She has already
received `1 lac from the petitioner no. 1. Petitioner no. 1 has paid `80,000/- to the respondent no. 2 today towards the balance settled amount. Respondent no. 2 submits that FIR may be quashed. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the parties inasmuch as their marriage has already been dissolved, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No. 414/2012 under Sections 498-A/342/506/34 IPC registered at Police Station Karawal Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti. A.K. PATHAK, J.
