% 12.01.2017 Status report has been filed and is taken on record. Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that to atone for his conduct - which led to the accidental death of his cousin brother, he is willing to deposit Rs.1 Lakh in the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund.

In view of the statement of respondent No.2-Gurmail Kaur, who is the mother of the deceased, and the bona fides shown by the petitioner, the present FIR No. 253/2016 registered under Sections 279/304A IPC at police station Alipur and the emanating proceedings are quashed subject to the petitioner depositing Rs. 1,00,000/- in the Prime Minsters' National Relief Fund within four weeks. The petitioner is directed to produce the receipt

towards deposit of cost to the Investigating Officer after deposit, whereafter the case shall be closed.

The petition stands disposed of.
