1. The present petitions seek declarations to the effect that land acquisition proceedings in respect of 1/48th share of land admeasuring 8 bigha 6 biswa in Khasra Nos. 198, 182, 186, and 197 and in respect of 1/48th share of land admeasuring 8 bigha 13 biswa in Khasra Nos. 244 and 164, both of which are situated in the revenue estate of Village Masood Pur, New Delhi, stand lapsed. Notices under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act 1894 ('LAA') were issued on 24th October 1961 and 23rd January 1965 respectively.

Thereafter, notices under Section 6 of the LAA were issued on 6th August 1966 and 6th December 1966 respectively. The final awards were passed by the Respondent on 2nd December 1967 and 26th March 1969 respectively.

2. No explanation is given for the inordinate delay in the Petitioners approaching this Court for relief.

3. Learned counsel for the Petitioners seeks leave to withdraw this petition with liberty to file a proper petition explaining the inordinate delay in approaching the Court for relief.
