% 16.11.2016 Petitioner and respondent no. 2 are neighbours. On the complaint of respondent no. 2, present FIR No. 479/2014 under Sections 354/506/509 IPC was registered at Police Station Punjabi Bagh against the petitioner. Petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes vide a Compromise/Settlement Deed dated 17th October, 2016. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and submits that she has settled the matter with petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, coercion and pressure. She submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further.

Keeping in mind the fact that petitioner and respondent no. 2 are neighbours and have settled their disputes amicably and respondent no. 2 is not willing to pursue the FIR any further, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep them entangled in the criminal proceedings. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 479/2014 under Sections 354/506/509 IPC registered at Police Station Punjabi Bagh, which is at the investigation stage, is quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
