O R D E R

% 09.12.2016 Present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondentDJB to re-open the water connection in petitioner's name at premises bearing No.10, Yamuna Marg, Civil Lines, Delhi. It has been averred in the petition that on 28th May, 2011, a request was made to temporarily disconnect the water connection in the name of the erstwhile owner at the aforesaid premises and the same was disconnected on 11th August, 2011 after receipt of all the outstanding dues. It has been further averred that petitioner vide letter dated 01st October, 2012 requested the respondent to reconnect the aforesaid water connection and submitted all the requisite documents. Learned counsel for petitioner states that despite the lapse of four years the water connection has not been reconnected till date.

Issue notice.

Mr. S.K. Singh, Advocate accepts notice on behalf of respondent. He states that petitioner's application dated 14th October, 2016 shall be disposed of within a period of one week and if the petitioner pays the infrastructural charges, the water connection shall be reconnected within a further period of one week.

In view thereof, present writ petition and pending application are disposed of. However, in the event the petitioner is aggrieved by the decision of the DJB, it is given liberty to file appropriate proceedings in accordance with law.
