This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.389/2015 under Sections 498A/406 IPC registered at PS Vijay Vihar. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably and the petitioner and Respondent No.2 are living together happily in the matrimonial home.

Respondent No.2/ Complainant is present before the Court with her counsel and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have CRL.M.C. 4225/2016

enquired from her whether the matter has been settled with the petitioner amicably without fear and pressure. She has stated that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure and she is living happily in the matrimonial home for the last about one and a half years.

Since the matter has been settled between the parties and the complainant is residing with petitioner No.1 in the matrimonial home happily, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings under Section 498A/406 IPC. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to maintain their matrimonial relations, FIR No.389/2015 under Sections 498A/406 IPC registered at PS Vijay Vihar and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed. 4.

The petition and all pending application(s) stand disposed of accordingly.
