O R D E R

% 20.02.2018 Petitioners are seeking quashing of the present FIR being FIR No. 1702/2015 registered at PS Jamia Nagar under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC. This FIR was registered on the complaint of respondent No. 2. Respondent No. 2 is present in court, her presence is identified by the investigating officer. The terms of settlement of petitioner and respondent No. 2 are contained in a Settlement deed which was arrived at before the Mediator Centre, Saket Court marked as annexure P2. In terms of their settlement, parties have been divorced under their personal law. This has been confirmed by respondent No. 2. She also confirmed that in terms of settlement, Rs. 4 lakhs have been received by her in full and final settlement. She has also withdrawn her complaint which she has filed under the

Domestic Violence Act. Proceedings under Section 125 Cr.P.C had also been initiated by respondent No. 2. In case she has not withdrawn proceedings, she undertakes to withdraw the same. In view of the aforenoted settlement being arrived at inter se the parties which have been endorsed by the parties, it is a fit case where the prayer made in the petition should be granted. Accordingly, to secure the ends of justice, the present FIR No. 1702/2015 registered at PS Jamia Nagar under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC and all proceedings emanating there from stand quashed. Petition disposed of in the above terms.
