% 30.11.2016 Issue notice. Notice is accepted on behalf of the State. Respondent no.2 is present in court and accepts notice on his behalf and on behalf of respondent no.3/ wife. The special power of attorney executed in his favour by respondent no.3 is placed on record.

The petitioners have filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.300/2016 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Sections 448/420/468/471/120B/34 IPC against the petitioners. The complainant/ respondent no.2 is present in Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer.

The parties have arrived at a settlement on 03.10.2016 which has been placed on record. The complainant states that they have not been subjected to any pressure or coercion and that they have entered the settlement out of their own free will. The complainant further states that they join the prayer for quashing of the FIR in question.

Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings emanating therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
