O R D E R

% 23.11.2016 Marital discord between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 had led to registration of the present FIR No.1035/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC at police station Vikas Puri on the complaint of respondent no.2. Petitioner nos.2 & 3 are the parents of petitioner no.1. Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 19th January, 2016. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Vikas Sahu PS Vikas Puri.

She submits that she has settled the matter with petitioner no.1, on her own free will and without any force, coercion and

undue influence. She admits having received the entire settled amount. Marriage between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by the decree of divorce by mutual consent by the Family Court (West), Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 7th October, 2016. Respondent no.2 further submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further. Keeping in mind the facts that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably, inasmuch as, the entire settled amount has been received and marriage between them has already been dissolved by the decree of divorce by mutual consent, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 1035/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Vikas Puri is quashed.

Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
