The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying as under:- "(a) issue a writ of mandamus and any other appropriate writ or direction for inclusion of the petitioners in the contingent of sports persons selected for the 14th Special Olympics World Summer Games is scheduled to be held in Los Angels, USA between 25th July to 2nd August 2015 b) issue a writ of certiorari and any other appropriate writ or direction for cancellation of the list of the sports persons selected for the 14th Special Olympics World Summer Games is scheduled to be held in Los Angels, USA between 25th July to 2nd August 2015."

It is, at once, apparent from the above that the relief sought by the petitioner cannot be granted, as the games in question are already over.
